RIP MJ
MISS YOU MARC
Marc Johnson passed away yesterday. What can you say or even think when someone of his significance passes? Like everyone else I’m in shock, saddened and left wandering my way in and out of the reality of the news. I recall once reading a tribute someone had posted about the loss of a loved one that had really hit. It simply stated, “It’s as if a mountain just vanished never to be seen again”. That’s so perfectly, perfectly, perfectly resonant in the wake of this incomprehensible tragedy. Marc meant everything to skateboarding, and through his short and extremely bright existence it was equally evident that skateboarding meant everything to him. The skateboard world lost a mountain.
All the love to every last one of us. Rest easy, Marc
Pendleton Show

DON PENDLETON SF ARTSHOW
A very very very small selection of artists have ever so distinctly defined the identity of an era of culture as has Don Pendleton. His style so unique, whether a polished mural or napkin scribble. Such a signature look, you could spot a DP original graphic from the dang moon! Check it
Jaeb is pro

DYLAN JAEB PRO FOR QUASI
Long overdue, Jaeb is pro. This should’ve happened years ago, only hamstrung by a stacked roster over at Primitive we can assume. Times are tough when someone of his caliber is left in limbo. Landing among the ranks at Quasi is no second prize either. He’ll fit right in on skateboarding’s top shelf alongside Bob, Rizzo & company. Full part just dropped, GAAAAAW’DAMN! Check it
Barry McGee

BARRY MCGEE, 99¢ ONLY TAKEOVER
Legendary artist Barry McGEE fills the abandoned 99¢ retail space on Wishire blvd with personal artwork, and that of friends, in signature patchwork order all as part of a pre-Frieze week opening.
As show space is all but plentiful in Los Angeles, McGee and gallery partner Kathy Grayson brought the once was store back to life (February 22 - March 1, 2026). Buzzing fluorescent lights, pegboard aisle display racks and 99¢ color branded checkered floor still in place. The artwork contrast to the makeshift gallery presented a truly unique event that reminds us that we only need a meeting place to collectively celebrate.
A great capture of the show can be found at L.A. Taco Check it

ANTWUAN DIXON’S FTP FULL PART
Baker 3 came out some 21 years ago. Sounds impossibly far away from today, and whatever had culminated since then and now has lead us here. In 2026 we have a full part from Antwuan Dixon! Same as it ever was, congrats Antwuan! Sooo sick! Check it
Bunt “Nuge”

NUGE ON THE BUNT
Oklahomie Don Nguyen serves up a gem of an interview on The Bunt Podcast. One of skateboarding’s most genuine statesman talks growing up in his family’s pool hall, creeping on Heath and “beefing” with Smash Burger competitors. Not really, dude is too sweet to “beef” beef. Definitely worth a watch. Check it

MARRIAGE SKATE SHOP TURNS 4
Echo Park’s Marriage Skate Shop turns 4… It’s no easy task to keep it going these days, unless you have the passion, you give that much a damn and it shows, you sleep when the work is done, or all of the above and the vibe is infectious. Congrats Marriage, really really dope shop
